Childcare for 100 Single Parents in School
We are partnering with Urban Sitter and Educational Alliance to create a program that provides the resources necessary to pursue an education while being a single parent. One generation teaching the next is how to break the cycle of poverty that occurs in marginalized communities.
$1,000,000 is enough to give 100 single parents access 10 hours of childcare a week for an entire year. These parents are facing an uphill battle, and safe consistent babysitting is the difference between success and failure.
Although this project reaches a relatively small number of people, it is meant to serve as a model for successful outcomes. Changing the lives of 100 families has a systemic ripple effect that will make generational impact.
